How to play it cool with strict parents?

You have to ask yourself, what would be your ideal family situation? What do you want to achieve? Perhaps, once the goal is clearly identified, then some advice can be offered to attain that goal. "Play it cool" is too generic. Also, any advice would be dependent upon your age group.
