Can UK see northern lights tonight?

It depends on where in the U.K. you are. Northern Scotland would be best for the mainland, but the Northern Isles would be better. It may be possible to see them from northern England, but the further north you go, the better chance you have. at 4:30 am the colours you saw were probably caused by the sunrise.
