Spiritually speaking, where would an atheist stand on outlawing religion?

I am an atheist but I am STRONGLY against outlawing religion. The Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment to the Constitution grants our citizens the legal right to practice religion. I do not agree with the principles, concepts, and dogma ociated with religion but I respect the legal rights of people who do. To think otherwise would be completely un-American!
