I need help badly with my situation any ones opinions are welcome?

i was at birthday parrty thing and this guy in the grade above me was there and he's really hot and he's popular but he was hanging with the kids that i hang around in the grade above. and i had to leave so i gave my 2 friends a hug in that group and hten he walked over with open arms and gavew me a really tight hugggg and then one of the other guys was like do youu even know him? and he goes "she does now" and i was like yesss bestt friendss. then i didn't see him for 2 days. and then i saw him at this football game and we didn't speak but we were sitting pretty far apart. i think i caught his eye once but maybe not. he's in a diff group of friends then i am. so thennn school started and i made eye contact in the hall ways a bunchhh of times. like practically every time i see him i get eye contact with him. and at the football game yesterday night...we talked a few times. about tom delonge and chuckie cheeses and i said id never been to chuckie cheeses and he was like whhhattT????/??? what the heckk and then we tlaked about thatr for a little while. andd. ummm idk we just had a few laughs. then that night i wrote on his wall on facebook and said " just to clear things up, in all reality i love tom delonge way more then you" and he didn't say ANYTHING back. he was definitely on cuz he commented on this other picture of him at that party cuz i guess he got really trashed which was kinda saddening but whatever. like he just ignored me straight up. but then sometimes i feel like he starts conversation? and other times i feel like he kinda avoids me. idk :( what can i do to get him interested in me..or anything whats your opinionss!
