Why get married?

If 50% or more of married couples get divorced and almost everyone has affairs..then why should anyone get married? I'm scared to...I just turned 25 years old and I have no desire to get married for a long time if ever. Why does anyone get married? Don't they know its only gonna end in tragedy and heartache?
